honeygrl is the stage name for 23-year-old Rochester native Abbey Doerre. In just a couple years Doerre has shown no plans to stop: having played at countless venues across the state, as well as having her songs receive air time on Minnesota’s The Current “Local Show. “ In The Current's "Scouting Report" she has been compared to artists like Soccer Mommy and Blondie. In her debut EP “Chrysalis” (2025), honeygrl holds back no punches as she explores themes of heartbreak, grief, and acceptance in her self described “sparkly fairy music.” With even more songs currently in the works and a full calendar of gigs in 2026, “honeygrl” has shown no sign of slowing down any time soon.
